An Abdominal Mass

Question: A 32-year-old woman presented with a chief complaint of recurrent, nonspecific gastrointestinal symptoms (anorexia, acid reflux, and epigastric pain) for 5 years. Her past history was significant for splenectomy after abdominal trauma 6 years ago. She also underwent 2 cesarean sections 7 and 9 years ago. Her physical examination was unremarkable. Laboratory investigation revealed no remarkable abnormalities except for mild anemia. A computed tomography scan from another hospital revealed a 3.8 × 2.5-cm mass with well-defined margin in the posterior wall of gastric body (Figure A).
