We reported a novel 1-day colon capsule endoscopy (CCE) regimen with high completion rate and good acceptability especially in clinically inactive cases and therefore suggested its potential utility as a non-invasive monitoring tool to evaluate mucosal healing (Okabayashi S et al. IBD 2018). Recently, Capsule Scoring of Ulcerative Colitis (CSUC) was developed as a severity score for CCE (Hosoe et al. IBD 2018). CSUC is calculated by a sum of scores regarding vascular pattern, bleeding, erosions and ulcers of the proximal and distal colon.
