P079 CORRELATION BETWEEN PUCAI, ENDOSCOPY AND PATHOLOGY SCORES IN A MAJORITY HISPANIC UC PEDIATRIC POPULATION

The current gold standard for monitoring the severity and treatment of ulcerative colitis is a combination of endoscopy mucosal scores with concomitant pathology scores. The Pediatric Ulcerative Colitis Assessment Index (PUCAI) was developed as an easy, non-invasive way to monitor the severity of disease in patients and the therapeutic efficacy of interventions. The PUCAI is a clinical assessment of 6 questions with results divided into four categories: remission, mild, moderate and severe. While the reliability of this index has been debated, there has yet to be an investigation of its reliability within Hispanic populations.
