P151 THE LONG NON-CODING RNA, IFNG-AS1/NEST, IS ASSOCIATED WITH IBD AND DRIVES A PRO-INFLAMMATORY SIGNALING CASCADE

The output of genomic transcriptional activity primarily results in the production of non-coding RNA transcripts. However, their role in inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) pathophysiology has yet to be determined. Our previous work identified IFNG-AS1/NeST to be increased in IBD patients and functionally correlated with IFNG expression. A GWAS analysis has also been shown that a SNP in IFNG-AS1 associates with IBD patients.
