We appreciate the comments made by Fan Yang and Dan Ma on our description of the use of full-field optical coherence tomography (FFOCT) to predict the histologic nature of colorectal polyps and suggest its possible implementation in a predict, resect, and discard strategy. They essentially make 3 very relevant comments on the inherent limitations of FFOCT for the identification and characterization of cell nuclei, on the interest of combining fluorescence microscopy with FFOCT, and on the relative place of FFOCT with regard to conventional endoscopic characterization.
