Improving Vaccination Adherence in Inflammatory Bowel Diseases

Physician performance measures and quality of care indicators for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) were developed to improve clinical outcomes and quality of life, while decreasing healthcare costs. Adherence to these quality indicators varies among providers. Our study focused on identifying variations of adherence to recommended vaccination guidelines among general gastroenterologists (Gen GI) and IBD subspecialists (IBDsp); and, to implement a quality improvement (QI) intervention to improve adherence to these guidelines at the IBD subspecialist level.
