New CT scanner eases need for young children to stay still

MyVUMC PhotoTraditional computed tomography (CT) imaging requires patients to stay still or hold their breath for periods of time as the scan is performed so a clear image is obtained the first time. For young children and/or infants, staying still or not crying can be a challenge, and getting the best image the first try is important to reduce unnecessary, repeated radiation exposure.
