TRANSFER RNA QUEUOSINE MODIFICATION ENZYME MANIPULATES TIGHT JUNCTION PROTEINS IN INFLAMMATORY BOWEL DISEASE

Transfer RNA (tRNA) queuosine (Q)-modification occur at the wobble anticodon position of four special cellular tRNAs. In eukaryotes, tRNA-Q modification relies on the intestinal microbial product queuine and eukaryotic tRNA-guanine transglycosylase complex contains of Q tRNA ribosyltransferase catalytic subunit 1 (QTRT1). Q-tRNA modification is critical for the fidelity and accuracy to translate RNA to protein. It is known that dysfunction of Q-tRNA associates with cancer proliferation and malignancy.
