VALUE OF PH-IMPEDANCE MONITORING PERFORMED ‘ON’ BID PROTON PUMP INHIBITOR THERAPY TO IDENTIFY NEED FOR ESCALATION OF REFLUX MANAGEMENT

Lower thresholds of pH-impedance metrics indicate persisting reflux when testing is performed on rather than off proton pump inhibitor therapy, and predict improvement with surgical management especially in patients with regurgitation despite medical reflux management.
