Ten percent of patients with an upper gastrointestinal cancer will have received an esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) within three years prior to diagnosis, termed post-endoscopy upper gastrointestinal cancers (PEUGIC). We aimed to determine the characteristics of PEUGIC, and compare these with detected cancers.
