Aberrant epigenetic events mediated by histone methyltransferases and demethylases contributes to malignant progression of colorectal cancer (CRC). However, the role of the histone demethylase ubiquitously transcribed tetratricopeptide repeat on chromosome X (UTX) in CRC remains poorly understood.
