Topically applied methylene blue dye chromoendoscopy is effective in improving detection of colorectal neoplasia. When combined with a pH- and time-dependent multi-matrix structure, a per-oral methylene blue formulation (MB-MMX) can be delivered directly to the colorectal mucosa.
