The comments by Itzkowitz and Ahlquist made us recall George Box’s saying that “all models are wrong but some are useful.” We acknowledge that our model is a simplification of reality, and we agree that its assumptions must be appreciated, but we disagree that our analysis is misleading and that our findings are not valid.
