Fibroblasts that interact with cancer cells are called cancer-associated fibroblasts (CAFs)—they promote progression of different tumor types. We investigated the characteristics and functions of CAFs in diffuse-type gastric cancers (DGCs) by analyzing features of their genome and gene expression patterns.
