VUMC employees not current with measles immunization will need to catch up in the next few months

MyVUMC PhotoEffective Dec. 2, 2019, all employees previously grandfathered into measles compliance with a record of only one MMR vaccine will need to have a second vaccine to be considered up to date. Given the sustained resurgence in measles cases in the U.S., this requirement is necessary to ensure that everyone is protected from measles in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines for immunity to measles for health care workers.
