Good News–Bad News: Current Status of GI Cancers

The annual report on cancer (of all types) in the United States is a collaborative effort from the American Cancer Society, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Cancer Institute, and the North American Associate of Central Cancer Registries, and it primarily focuses on the 2003–2012 decade.1 We focus this commentary on cancers of the gastrointestinal (GI) system.
