Abstract 2 Trainee Colonoscopy Withdrawal Time Is Influenced by the Independent Performance Characteristics of Supervising Physicians

Adenoma detection rate (ADR) and withdrawal time (WT) are important measures used to evaluate the quality of screening colonoscopy. Trainee quality measures have been shown to correlate with performance in independent practice, but the factors that determine quality during fellowship are poorly understood. We sought to determine if the performance characteristics of supervising physicians can influence the quality of the screening colonoscopies performed by trainees under their supervision.
