In the early days of the COVID-19 pandemic, leaders at Vanderbilt University Medical Center engaged in numerous conversations with local hotels that could help provide temporary housing options for Vanderbilt employees. These conversations quickly led to a more formalized hotel stay program, which gives any VUMC employee working with or near patients the option to stay in a hotel room at a low co-pay rate.
