Repeated Hepatolithiasis and Unknown Mass in Cholangiography

Question: A 68-year-old woman was admitted for persistent high fever and cutaneous abscess with a history of cholecystectomy for cholelithiasis and a hepatic left lateral lobectomy for hepatolithiasis. A subcostal incision scar, 15 cm long, was observed on the upper right abdomen, and a purulent abscess measuring 3 × 3 cm was under the xiphoid. No other significant symptoms, such as jaundice, were revealed during the physical examination. A computed tomography scan indicated a dilated common bile duct (CBD), intrahepatic stone, and hepatic abscess (Figure A, B).
