Cytokinesis and the Hippo Pathway: New Molecular Links Between Intimate Partners

Cytokinesis is the elegant final event of the cell cycle that separates 2 daughter cells. Because aberrant cytokinesis is seen in both normal and pathologic processes, it has been unclear if inhibiting cytokinesis would be therapeutically effective in cancer. In this issue of Gastroenterology, Yang et al1 aimed to better understand how targeting cytokinesis would impact liver cancer development.
