In choosing an avatar, I tried to find one that looked most like me in real life. However, many of the women featured in the selection looked the same, just with different hair colors and clothes. Overall, they were very hyper sexualized. So I settled for one that had the same hair color as me. Doing stuff in the Second Life universe felt a lot like when I played video games as a kid, like the Sims. The virtual life resembled our reality in that I could communicate with others. Although, I have to say it was a little strange that I had the option to speak to someone that I had no idea who they really were.
