While exploring Second Life, I appreciated that we were able to see sites that you can only see from certain parts of the world, as shown in my screenshot. It was virtual reality but I also saw it as an extension of our own reality and hopefully what the future holds. A lot of it was realistic and a lot of it wasn’t (flying) but for the most part I could see certain destinations as bein possible in the future. Also Second Life dips into teleportation a bit when traveling and this has been a talked about mode of future transportation. This also made me think more about the fact that a lot of things that can only be done on computers and through using technology, things that are seen as science-fiction and way too unreal to be possible, certainly have a chance at being part of our future.
