In choosing an avatar, I found that there were not any choices that directly resembled me in any way, so I just swapped avatars until I settled on one after becoming tired and bored with attempting to find one that felt like it should be me.
I would not label Second Life as virtual reality. When I envision virtual reality, I see something that is not only immersive, but blurs the lines between reality and fiction. Second Life simply is not at that point. However, as this is not a class about game design, I will say that the game itself is enjoyable. Being able to explore freely without any limitations is one of the perks of playing a VR game. Even the inclusion of flying is a unique concept that is hardly explored in this type of media, although it is strange.
