• VSP 6.3 MTPA Expansion

I was assigned for the design work of steel superstructures in Raw Material Handling Plant (RMHP) of Rashtriya Ispast Nigam Limited (RINL) – also known as Vizag Steel Plant (VSP). The total project cost for ‘Vizag Steel Plant 6.3 MTPA (Million Ton Per Annum) Expansion’ was above two billion US dollar. In this project I performed analysis and design of several structures like flux crusher, fuel crusher, conveyor galleries and junction houses.

• Repair of Failed 72 m Conveyor Gallery of IIL Dolvi

In July 2008 a 72 meter span conveyor gallery of Ispat Industries Limited (IIL Dolvi) which fell down on a railway track. I had been dupted to be a part of this project on urgent basis. At first the failure analysis had been performed to investigate the reason of failure. We were able to send the new design to site by 3 days. I prepared that finite element model of the newly designed gusset plate justifying its safety.
