Zaruhi SahakyanI am a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Economics at Vanderbilt University. I received a Ph.D., an M.S. in Economics from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and an M.A. in International and Development Economics from Yale University. My undergraduate degree is in Economics from Yerevan State University, Armenia.

Prior to joining Vanderbilt I was a lecturer at the Department of Economics and a Faculty Affiliate of Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I taught courses in Economics of Risk, Economic Statistics, Microeconomics and Political Economy.

I do research in Political Economy of Immigration.
