I received a Ph.D., an M.S. in Economics from <a href=\"http:\/\/illinois.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign<\/a> and an M.A. in International and Development Economics from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.yale.edu\/\">Yale University<\/a>. My undergraduate degree is in Economics from\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.ysu.am\/\">Yerevan State University<\/a>, Armenia.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining Vanderbilt I was a lecturer at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.economics.illinois.edu\/\">Department of Economics<\/a> and a Faculty Affiliate of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reeec.illinois.edu\/\">Russian, East European, and Eurasian Center<\/a> at the <a href=\"http:\/\/illinois.edu\/\">University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign<\/a>. I taught courses in Economics of Risk, Economic Statistics, Microeconomics and Political Economy.
