CE2250 Mechanics of Materials (Spring, 2013)

  • Fundamentals of soil mechancis and geotechnical engineering.  Formation and identification of soil properties, compressibility, shear strength, stress analysis, earth pressure theories and bearing capacity.

 

CE3250 Geotechnical Engineering (Fall 2012)

  • Stress and strain, tension, compression and shear. Hooke’s law, Mohr’s circle, combined stress, strain energy. Beams, columns, shafts and continuous beams. Deflections, shear and moment diagrams.
