- Fundamentals of soil mechancis and geotechnical engineering. Formation and identification of soil properties, compressibility, shear strength, stress analysis, earth pressure theories and bearing capacity.
CE3250 Geotechnical Engineering (Fall 2012)
- Stress and strain, tension, compression and shear. Hooke’s law, Mohr’s circle, combined stress, strain energy. Beams, columns, shafts and continuous beams. Deflections, shear and moment diagrams.
