Janus particles (JPs) are colloids with anisotropic interactions that can potentially form complex lamellae and tubular phases. Our aim is to investigate the assembly of JPs at high volume fractions and experimentally modulate the interparticle potential by varying the thickness of the metal layers (therefore changing the magnitude of van der Waals interactions).
