{"id":135,"date":"2018-06-13T09:57:07","date_gmt":"2018-06-13T14:57:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/my.vanderbilt.edu\/skyvu\/?p=135"},"modified":"2018-06-13T09:57:07","modified_gmt":"2018-06-13T14:57:07","slug":"fy19-po-renewals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/my.vanderbilt.edu\/skyvu\/2018\/06\/fy19-po-renewals\/","title":{"rendered":"Renewing Purchase Orders for FY19"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As FY18 is coming to a close, it&#8217;s time to review and renew expiring purchase orders in preparation for FY19.<\/p>\n<p>If you have any purchase orders that require renewal, the Purchasing and Strategic Sourcing team has provided instructions on the <a href=\"https:\/\/finance.vanderbilt.edu\/accounting\/YearEndDocs\/\">Finance website<\/a>.\u00a0 Renewals must be submitted as\u00a0<strong>new requisitions<\/strong> in Oracle Cloud Procurement, and Financial Unit Managers can assist with identifying legacy POs that require renewal by running the <strong>P2P Summary Report<\/strong> in the <strong>Departmental Playbook.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition, as you are planning to renew\u00a0any\u00a0<strong>Blanket Orders<\/strong>, please note the following process updates:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Before renewing a blanket order, <strong>Purchase Requesters\u00a0<\/strong>should consider whether they could\u00a0use\u00a0catalog orders in Aquiire or another, more appropriate type of smart form rather than a blanket order; and<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul>\n<li>New blanket orders will move to <strong>three-way matching<\/strong> and thus require\u00a0Procurement Requesters to perform <strong>Receiving<\/strong> in order to process payment &#8211; there will be exceptions to the three-way matching for certain types of orders, such as gas cylinder rentals and utilities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/finance.vanderbilt.edu\/accounting\/YearEndDocs\/FY18_Oracle_Purchase_Order_Renewal_Process.pdf\">Please review the full document for\u00a0additional details and instructions.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As FY18 is coming to a close, it&#8217;s time to review and renew expiring purchase orders in preparation for FY19.
