and<\/li>\n<li>View time cards for employees within their direct reporting line.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To demonstrate these features, consider the team at right, led by <strong>Linus Manager<\/strong>.\u00a0 Within\u00a0<strong>Time and Schedule<\/strong>, <strong>Linus<\/strong> can view:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Scheduled absences for his direct report <strong>Patty<\/strong>; and<\/li>\n<li>The time card for biweekly employee <strong>Stuart<\/strong>, who is <strong>Patty&#8217;s<\/strong> direct report.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>Accessing Time and Schedule<\/h4>\n<p>To access these tools, managers should select <strong>Time and Schedule<\/strong> within the <strong>My Team<\/strong> section of the <strong>Springboard<\/strong> or <strong>Navigator<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-414\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.vanderbilt.edu\/t2-my\/my-prd\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2825\/2018\/12\/NavTimeSched.png\" alt=\"NavTimeSched\" width=\"785\" height=\"307\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>View Published Schedule: Time and Absences for Direct Reports<\/h4>\n<p>To view the schedule for direct reports:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-416\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.vanderbilt.edu\/t2-my\/my-prd\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2825\/2018\/12\/ViewPublishedSched.png\" alt=\"ViewPublishedSched\" width=\"800\" height=\"448\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Upon accessing <strong>Time and Schedule<\/strong>, click the <strong>Tasks<\/strong> icon and select <strong>View Published Schedule<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>The <strong>View Published Schedule<\/strong> window will then display the current week&#8217;s schedule for your team (i.e., all direct reports).<\/li>\n<li>Use the calendar date and arrows to scroll by week and view your team&#8217;s schedule.<\/li>\n<li>All scheduled time and absences are displayed &#8211; in this example, Patty has a previously <strong>Approved Absence<\/strong> (e.g., PTO) scheduled for Monday, 12\/3.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Show\/Hide Legend<\/strong> to toggle the time types on or off as desired.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pending Absences<\/strong>\u00a0(i.e., those requested but not yet approved) are displayed alongside the employee&#8217;s scheduled time &#8211; when the absence is approved, the schedule will display only the <strong>Approved Absence<\/strong>.\u00a0 In this example, Patty has requested to be out on Thursday and Friday, 12\/20-21, but Linus has not yet approved this absence.<\/li>\n<li>The summary at the bottom of the page displays your team&#8217;s total scheduled time.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Done<\/strong> when you are finished reviewing the schedule to close the window.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4>View Time Cards: Time Cards for the Reporting Line<\/h4>\n<p>To view time card(s) for employees in your reporting hierarchy:<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-427\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn.vanderbilt.edu\/t2-my\/my-prd\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2825\/2018\/12\/MgrViewTime.png\" alt=\"MgrViewTime\" width=\"800\" height=\"325\" \/><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Upon accessing\u00a0<strong>Time and Schedule<\/strong>, you will see the <strong>View Time Cards<\/strong> screen.<\/li>\n<li>Enter your search parameters.\u00a0 The <strong>From<\/strong> and <strong>To Dates<\/strong> indicate the time period(s) for which you want to view the employee&#8217;s time card(s) and will default to the current date<\/li>\n<li>Click Search.<\/li>\n<li>A summary displaying the employee, period(s), time card status and total hours will display.\u00a0 The menus and icons above the table provide additional options, such as adjusting the number and order of the columns (<strong>View<\/strong>) and\u00a0exporting the results to Excel (<strong>Actions<\/strong>).<\/li>\n<li>Click the <strong>View<\/strong> icon (i.e., eyeglasses) to review additional details for a specific time card.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Introduction to Time\u00a0and Schedule for Line Managers A new Time\u00a0and Schedule feature has been added to My Team for all Line Managers.
