Jessica Sommer is a Research Program Coordinator who has spent more than a decade working in education research at Vanderbilt University. She holds a master’s degree in educational policy from Vanderbilt’s Peabody College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Presbyterian College.
Prior to joining the Study of Mathematically Precocious Youth (SMPY) team, Jessica worked at the Peabody Research Institute on a variety of projects focused on early childhood education, mathematics education, and meta-analysis. She became the SMPY Research Program Coordinator in August 2022 and is responsible for tasks such as managing the project website, maintaining up-to-date participant records, coordinating study submissions with the Vanderbilt IRB, and assisting with the preparation of manuscripts for publication.
