Stata 12

StataCorp has announced that Stata 12 (http://www.stata.com/stata12) will begin shipping on July 25.  The Vanderbilt community is eligible to buy Stata 12 at a discount since the Software Store participates in the StataCorp Direct-Ship GradPlan.

The Direct-Ship GradPlan enables faculty, staff, and students to save on perpetual, annual, and six-month licenses for Stata products.  Customers purchase directly from the manufacturer and StatCorp fulfills orders through direct shipment to the buyer.

Customers have several options for obtaining Stata 12:

  1. Call StataCorp Sales at 800-782-8272 to place your Stata 12 order if you want to receive Stata 11 while you wait for Stata 12 to begin shipping.  This option lets you buy Stata 11 plus Stata 12 for the price of Stata 12.  StataCorp charges two shipping fees for this option.
  2. Please your order online at http://www.stata.com/order/new/edu/gradplans/gp-direct.html.  You will not receive Stata 11 if you buy online.  Instead, you must wait until Stata 12 begins to ship.
  3. If you purchased Stata 11 during April, May or June 2011, you qualify for an upgrade to Stata 12 for just the cost of the shipping.  If you bought an annual license for Stata 11, your expiration date will remain the same (i.e. it will not reset when Stata 12 ships).  If you purchased a six-month license, your expiration date will reset.
