Office 365 University 2013
Starting January 29, the Software Store will offer Office 365 University 2013 through the Microsoft Office University Program to Vanderbilt faculty, staff and students. Office 365 University 2013 is subscription based and replaces Office University 2010 and Office 2011 for Mac University. We will stop selling Office University 2010 and Office 2011 for Mac University in the Software Store on January 27, 2013.
New four-year subscriptions for Office 365 University 2013 cost $79.99. Students who enter graduate school or take longer than four years to graduate can renew for four years at the same price.
Subscription benefits include:
• Access to Office 365 online services
• 27 GB SkyDrive storage
• The right to install Office 2013 for Windows or Office 2011 for Mac on up to two desktops/laptops and two Windows 8 tablets/mobile devices
• Access to online versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, OneNote, Outlook, Publisher, and Access
• 60 Skype world minutes per month
• Access to upgrades when available
After you make your purchase, you will receive a token and a URL for accessing Office 365 online. Microsoft requires all customers to verify their academic status when they sign in to Office 365 online for the first time. After you access Office 365, you can download the software to your desktop.
This new offering provides employees and students with a second discounted copy of Office:
• Employees can get their first copy for $9.95 through the Microsoft Home Use Program
• Students can get their first copy, at no cost, through the Microsoft Student Option Program
Employees and students who need to install Office on multiple devices, or want to use the bundled services included in Office 365, may want to take advantage of both offers.
