Vanderbilt students, employees and departments are eligible to download Windows 10 through the Software Store. Students and employees can order the Education edition.  Education offers the same functionality as the Enterprise edition and supports upgrading from both Windows 10 Home and Windows 10 Professional.

  • Students are eligible to download Windows 10 Education Upgrade for $0 through the Microsoft Student Option Program.
  • Employees may order Windows 10 Education Upgrade for $9.75 through the Microsoft Work at Home Program.
  • Vanderbilt departments may download Windows 10 Enterprise Upgrade for use on Vanderbilt owned computers for $0.

The Enterprise version activates against the KMS server that VUIT hosts and administers.  Departments can use the KMS server to activate Windows 10 starting August 14.
