Windows 10 Education vs Windows 10 Enterprise

The Software Store offers two Windows 10 editions to departments:

  • Windows 10 Education Upgrade
  • Windows 10 Enterprise Upgrade

Both editions offer the same features, but only the Enterprise version supports in-place upgrades from Windows 7 and 8.  We expect Microsoft to add this functionality to the Education edition during October 2015.

Vanderbilt University Medical Center (VUMC) should install the Enterprise version on VUMC computers.  Vanderbilt University (VU) should install the Education edition on VU computers.
