…and 14 hours later, SSMV seniors Reeta Bandyopadyay, Oge Onuh, Elizabeth Li, and Shu Zhang, completed a 17 page mathematical modeling solution during the Moody’s Mega Math Challenge on Saturday, March 8^th. They sought to answer the nationally debated question: Can nutritious food be affordable and delicious (Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010)? The students addressed the issues of providing healthier and, often, more expensive food for schools while considering taste, geographic and socio-economic regions, and fiscal limitations in their model. Great job, ladies!
