The two second place prizes, including $200 cash awards, went to the Bell’s Bend group, Arturas, Daniel, and Dheeraj, who studied the wetland ecology of Bell’s Bend, and the AgriBot group, Able and Efrain, who developed a remote-controlled vehicle with the capability to study soil properties including conductivity.
All of these projects will have papers published in the TNJAS handbook and there will be a total of five project abstracts from the SSMV Handbook and Proceedings of the Tennessee Junior Academy of Science 2014.
