Through my research, I amcommitted to increasing the number of first-generation students of color, particularly Latinx students, matriculating to and graduating from institutions of higher education. In my scholarship, I connect K-12 family engagement research with the existing literature on higher education access and success. I use qualitative research methods\u2014particularly in-depth interviewing and participant observation\u2014to more deeply understand the relationship(s) between Latinx families and higher education.
