Progress Report #1

At this point in our design process, our group has focused on refining our problem statement in order to define a set of goals from which to build our project.  In order to refine the problem statement, we met with our advisers Drs. Ted Anderson and May Thomassee of the Vanderbilt University Medical Center Gynecology Department.  With their guidance, we set our goals for the year with projected milestones.  From these experiences we developed a gantt chart and wrote the NCIIA grant proposal to fund out project.

More recent steps in creating the hysteroscopic surgery simulator have included brainstorming possible methods for addressing our problem statement, learning more about CAD and 3D printing (which are being used to make our model uterus), and developing a website to publish our work and progress.
