NOOR SALAMEH

is a freshman at Vanderbilt University and the Blair School of Music. She served as the principal cellist of the Milwaukee Youth Symphony Orchestra’s Senior Symphony for four years, sat as principal cellist of the World Youth Symphony Orchestra at the Interlochen Arts Camp in the summer of 2021, and attended the Madeline Island Chamber Music Institute in the summer of 2022. She is the recipient of an exemplary award at the WSMA state-level competition. She has won awards in the Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra’s Stars of Tomorrow concerto competition, the Festival City Symphony’s concerto competition, and the Senior Symphony’s concerto competition. In addition to her work in music, she is a participant in social justice and equity work around campus and is pursuing a double major in sociology. She also enjoys hiking, kayaking, poetry, and spending time with family.
