Vanderbilt Translational Science Scholars Program Application Information at a Glance
| Due Dates | Survey of Intent: January 17 Application: February 15 |
| Application length | 10 pages, including research proposal and career development plan |
| Annual stipend | Stipend is provided at the appropriate NIH Postdoctoral Rate career level |
| Tuition support* | Up to $4500 for those not enrolled in a degree granting program; up to $16,000 for those enrolled in a degree granting program. *These funds must be requested and approved by the NIH |
| Training Related Expenses | $11,850 to cover expenses such as health insurance, travel to professional & scientific conferences, and research |
| Translational Science travel support | $1,000 to attend the annual Translational Science meeting |
| Length of appointment | Up to 2 years, renewable annually upon satisfactory research and career development progress |
| Citizenship requirements | US citizen or permanent resident |
| Doctoral degree requirements | Clinical doctorate (MD, DO, DDS, PsyD, PharmD) or PhD, DrPH |
| Primary mentor faculty appointment requirement | Primary mentor must be either Vanderbilt or Meharry faculty |
