VINSE is hiring hourly undergraduate laboratory assistants
VINSE is hiring undergraduates to work with staff inside the VINSE cleanroom as lab assistants also known as VINSE Tech Crew. The tech crew will work on projects and activities critical to our daily operations and expand the process capabilities and knowledge base available to our researchers.
VINSE is also taking applications for the 10-week summer VINSE tech crew fellowship program – students can apply for both academic year hourly positions and the 10-week summer program, but must apply separately following the application instructions.
Academic Year Hourly Positions – up to 19 hours per week – $10/hour
Extensive hands-on laboratory experience. Work daily inside the VINSE cleanroom located in the Engineering Science Building. Receive training on cleanroom equipment and processes.
Job description: Staff the VINSE core laboratories during the designated after-hours shifts and during selected day shifts to assist staff on projects in the cleanroom. Accompany authorized users in the laboratories, perform minor technical duties, and call for assistance in the event of laboratory emergencies.
Qualifications: Undergraduates in science or engineering. Preference will be given to rising sophomores. Minorities and women strongly encouraged to apply.
