VUIT Schedule Maintenance: Wireless Routing Change
On Saturday, August 2, 2014 from 2:15 -3:15 AM the Vanderbilt University Information Technology (VUIT) Network Design and Engineering (ND & E) team will implement approved Change 43772. This change is another step toward a unified University and Medical Center wireless enterprise network. All VUMC wireless will migrate to the Enterprise wireless distribution routers to consolidate wireless routing.
There is no outage anticipated with this change. However, if an unexpected issue should occur, all wireless will be down for all VUMC wireless networks for approximately five (5) minutes, until the wireless access points (APs) rejoin the controller. The highest likelihood for any issues associated with the change will occur between 3:15 – 3:30 AM.
