Phishing email regarding salary raise targets VUMC employees

VUMC IT Security Operations has detected a targeted attack against Medical Center users. The phisher sent an email today to VUMC employees with information regarding salary increases.

Below is an example of the fraudulent email that many users received:

Hello,

This serves as a last reminder regarding a 18.75%
salary raise on your paycheck starting June 2016.

Documents are securely attached below:

Human Resources
Vanderbilt University

If you have responded to this email, please call (615) 343-HELP immediately and ask to speak with a representative from VUMC IT Security Operations: Incident Response.

If you received this email, do not respond and delete immediately.
