VUIT Scheduled Maintenance – Monthly Microsoft Patching for September – VUIT Hosting Services Application Servers

On Sunday, Sept. 18, between 12:00 a.m. and 6 a.m., Vanderbilt IT will apply September’s monthly Windows Server security updates, as well as any previous monthly patches still required. These updates are to help maintain security and software for core Microsoft Window operating systems.

All non-redundant services will be impacted by a server reboot after patch installation. They include:

SQL Cluster
wins1, wins2
prt1, prt2
VUIT hosted SharePoint sites
vCenter (virtual server management)
