VUIT to patch Windows 2008 on AVST voicemail servers

Vanderbilt IT will install Microsoft Windows 2008 operating system patches on AVST voicemail servers from 12 a.m. to 12.45 a.m. on Sunday, April 23, in order to maintain security of the Microsoft Windows operating system for these servers. Upon patching, VUIT will restart the CallXpress server. Skype for Business (Lync) voicemail will not be affected by this maintenance.

The CallXpress restart will cause the following:

1) Outside callers will receive a prompt that their messages may be delayed because of system maintenance.

2) Users will not be able to log into their voicemail mailboxes.

3) Out-call notifications will be delayed for messages so marked.
