Upgrades to Isilon Cluster
On Sunday, May 21, between 6 a.m. and 11 a.m., the Open Systems and Storage Services team, in coordination with the Linux and Database teams, will upgrade the Isilon cluster to the latest firmware version. This upgrade will remediate many known issues, improve performance, reliability and bring enhancements to the VU1FILE/VU1NFS NAS platform. We anticipate this task will take 2 and one-half hours. All cluster services will be offline during the upgrade procedure. Critical applications and databases will not have access to their network shares.
Administrators are encouraged to check server mounts later that Sunday afternoon, in the event they require attention
