VUIT Scheduled Maintenance to Install Server Updates
On August 26, from midnight to 5 a.m., Vanderbilt IT will install Microsoft Windows 2008 system patches on AVST voicemail servers and Microsoft security patches on shared services servers. This scheduled maintenance will assure the continued security of the Windows Operating Systems on these servers. During this time frame, non-redundant services will be impacted by a server reboot after the patches are installed. After patching the AVST voicemail servers, VUIT will restart the CallXpress server.
During the scheduled maintenance, patching the CallXpress server will cause the following:
1) Outside callers will receive a notification that their messages may be delayed because of system maintenance.
2) Users will not be able to log into their voicemail.
3) Out-call notifications will be delayed for messages so marked.
