Medical Center departments may purchase Nitro Pro, a PDF editor, through the VUMC Software Store.

Some files may use the .PDF extension in their file name, but they are actually XFA or Adobe LifeCycle documents.  You can identify a document’s file type by right-clicking on the document, and selecting Document Properties.

Nitro Pro, Mozilla Firefox’s built-in PDF viewer, and Google Chrome’s built-in PDF viewer do not support XFA files.  If you need to work with XFA files, please see Adobe’s website for work-around options.
